EICRs, PAT testing, fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks. We do not just hand you a report and leave. If something fails, we can fix it there and then because we are a full electrical contractor, not just a testing company.
Most companies that carry out electrical testing do exactly that. They test, they produce a report, and they leave. If the report flags issues — and it often does on older buildings — you are on your own. Different company, different quote, different timeline. The report sits in a drawer getting older while you try to find someone to sort it out.
Because we are a full-service NICEIC approved electrical contractor, we can test the installation and carry out any remedial work there and then. Failed EICR? We can quote to fix the defects on the spot. Fire alarm needs attention? We design and install fire alarm systems. Emergency lighting not up to standard? We install and maintain emergency lighting. The testing and the fix come from the same team, which means it gets resolved faster and you know the standard of the work matches the standard of the inspection.
Every test comes with proper certification and documentation on the day. Not three weeks later when someone remembers to email it over. You walk away with the certificates your insurance company, landlord or building control needs to see.
They turn up, run the tests, hand you a report and leave. If the EICR comes back with C2 or C3 codes, you are given a list of defects and told to get them fixed.
Now you need to find an electrician, get a separate quote, wait for availability, and arrange another visit. The report is ageing while you sort it out and the insurance company is still waiting for a satisfactory certificate.
Two companies, two invoices, two sets of appointments, and nobody taking ownership of the end result.
We turn up, run the tests, and if something fails we can quote to fix it on the spot. Most remedial work can be carried out during the same visit or scheduled within days.
One company does the testing, the remedial work and the re-certification. One invoice, one point of contact, and a satisfactory certificate at the end of it.
Your insurance renewal does not get held up. Your building control query gets answered. The whole thing is sorted.
Electrical Inspection Condition Reports for domestic, commercial and industrial properties. We inspect the full installation, identify any defects or non-compliances, and give you a clear report with recommendations. If it fails, we can quote to fix the issues and re-test — same company, same visit where possible.
Portable appliance testing for commercial premises. Every appliance tested, labelled and documented. Results ready for your health and safety file the same day. We can test hundreds of appliances in a single visit with minimal disruption to your operations.
Periodic inspection and testing to BS 5839. Every device, every zone, every sounder checked and documented. If a detector is faulty, a battery is failing or a zone is not responding, we can carry out the repair ourselves because we install and maintain fire alarm systems.
Monthly function tests and annual duration tests to BS 5266. Every fitting, every battery, every exit sign checked and documented. If fittings need replacing, we carry the common ones on the van and can swap them out during the same visit. No second appointment needed.
For businesses with ongoing testing requirements — and that covers most commercial premises — a maintenance contract takes the entire compliance admin off your plate. We track when every test is due, we schedule the visits in advance, and we make sure you are never caught out with an expired certificate.
One annual agreement covers your EICRs, PAT testing, fire alarm servicing and emergency lighting checks. We contact you to arrange access, we carry out the work, we provide the certificates. When the insurance renewal asks for an up-to-date EICR, it is already done. When building control wants to see your fire alarm certificate, it is already filed.
If we find an issue during any periodic test, we can carry out the remedial work there and then in most cases. No separate quote from a separate company. No delay while you try to find an electrician who is available. The testing and the fix come from the same team, under the same contract.
Every rental property needs a current EICR. If you have a portfolio, that is a lot of separate appointments with a lot of different electricians if you are booking them one at a time. Half of them will flag issues and leave you to sort it out yourself.
We survey the lot, put together a testing schedule that spreads the work across the year, and make sure every property stays compliant. One point of contact, one set of invoices, every certificate filed and documented. If any properties need remedial work, we carry it out as part of the same programme rather than leaving you with a failed report and a recommendation to call someone else.
Whether it is a one-off EICR, a full portfolio of rental properties, or an ongoing maintenance contract covering everything, we are happy to discuss what you need.
